Bergischer HC Suffers Close Loss Against TVB Stuttgart

In an exciting match on September 6, 2025, the Bergischer HC (BHC) faced off against TVB Stuttgart. The game, played in the Uni-Halle, was a thrilling contest that came down to the wire.

Despite the absence of Belal Ibrahim Massoud, the BHC put up a valiant effort. The match saw several standout performances, with Eloy Morante Maldonado scoring an impressive six goals. Noah Beyer also had a strong outing, converting four penalty shots and one regular goal. Søren Steinhaus added two goals to the BHC's tally.

On the other side, TVB Stuttgart was led by Marek Nissen, who scored a total of three goals in the match. His second goal, which brought the score to 31-29 for the guests, proved to be the deciding factor. Nissen's teammate, Andri Mar Runarsson, also found the back of the net, making the final score 29-32 (60-0).

The match was tightly contested, with the score at 15-13 in favour of BHC at halftime. The second half saw several lead changes, with the score moving from 23-25 to 26-23, and finally 27-25, before TVB Stuttgart pulled ahead.

The BHC coaching duo of Arnor Thor Gunnarsson and Markus Pütz took two timeouts during the game in an attempt to turn the tide. Kristjansson also scored a penalty shot and one goal for the BHC.

Unfortunately for BHC, Gerdas Barbarskas received a red card after his third suspension at the 59-minute mark, which made it difficult for the team to mount a comeback.

Looking ahead, the BHC will look to bounce back in their next home game on 13. September at 19:00 against GWD Minden. The match against SG Flensburg-Handewitt will take place on 21. September at 16:30 in the Düsseldorf Mitsubishi Electric Halle.

Lukas Diedrich and Scholtes also scored goals for the BHC in the match against TVB Stuttgart, but their efforts were not enough to secure the win. Nonetheless, the team can take pride in their competitive performance and will be looking to build on it in their upcoming matches.
