Golfing session in the park, accompanied by sports activities and SPD Fest celebration
On a sunny morning at 11:00, the much-anticipated mini-golf event, "Sports in the Park", kicked off in FunPark Eickel. The first participants took advantage of the beautiful weather to start their golfing journey.
The event was a collaborative effort between SSB Herne, AOK, and LSB, with SportimPark at SSB Herne, represented by Frank Stieglitz, and the Mini-Golf Club participating actively. Club members were present throughout the event, offering valuable tips to mini-golfers.
Ralf Horisch, the speaker of the sports committee of the city of Herne, was also present, ensuring the smooth running of the event. Martin Kortmann, chairman of the Sports Committee of the City of Herne, was also in attendance, lending his support.
The mini-golf event was a resounding success, with free mini-golf continuing on a full course during the festival. The festival offered more than just sports, with sponsored sausages, local honey, and small cakes from Eismann available for attendees.
Later in the afternoon, a local festival hosted by the SPD took place, providing an opportunity for conversations with attending politicians.
Overall, the event was a significant success for sports in the city of Herne, attracting sports enthusiasts and offering a fun-filled day of mini-golf and other activities.
